Web Concept: Betting Website

A new idea suddenly popped into my head during pre-bedtime meditation. Feeling that it holds no particular moral virtue, I am just disclosing it directly.

Betting (Side-Bet) Website

For instance, it could be designed for users to make side bets on whether a public policy will actually be executed.

Or people could bet on whether it will rain tomorrow.

The core dynamic relies primarily on the competitive and petty banter spirit among users.

The prize could be fried chicken: participants prepay for fried chicken, and the losing side’s money is used by the system to buy fried chicken and distribute it to the winners (avoiding direct monetary transactions as much as possible).

Applications like this are quite interesting, aren’t they? Though in truth, there are plenty of even more intriguing ideas that might get me into trouble if disclosed directly. Of course, from my personal stance, I still prefer to avoid being associated with actual gambling, which is why I framed the concept around friendly side bets.
