“Traffic Jam Energy Value” is an idea suitable for the Ministry of Transportation. Whenever drivers encounter traffic jams on the road, they can turn on a mobile app to automatically accumulate their traffic jam energy value.
For every 10 hours accumulated, toll fees can be discounted; after 20 hours, users can enter a million-dollar lottery; after 100 hours, they can redeem one day of official paid leave.
In addition to developing a standalone app, it could also be integrated into navigation devices through partnerships with Garmin and Mio, or share resources via collaboration with Google Maps.
This gamified solution helps soothe the impatience and frustration of drivers, thereby reducing the likelihood of traffic accidents.
